He Tied Down A Model Underwater With Sharks Swimming Around Her

Over 90% of sharks have disappeared from our oceans in the last 100 years. There are 440 known species of sharks, many of which are harmless. But last year in 2015, 100 million sharks were killed just to make soup.

Motivated by the desire to be creatively challenged and overcome impossibilities, Benjamin Von Wong has become notorious for his epic photography. His hyper-realistic art style captures viewers in a fusion of special effects and innovative concepts.

Benjamin’s background in engineering gives him a unique edge for creative problem solving, where technical challenges become friendly competitions.

So Benjamin decided to make a difference by championing for the sharks protection and Fiji is known to ecotourists around the world for its world-class shark dives.

This photoshoot was created to support the creation of a shark sanctuary in Malaysia.

Model: Amber Bourke is a champion freediver capable of holding her breath for up to 5 minutes

For this photoshoot, she would average about 1 minute to 1 and 1/2 minutes before signalling for air

Getting the model into position was a challenging experience

Sometimes, two sharks would come swimming over to say hello

After the photoshoot, warming up the images was critical to get the magical look and feel Benjamin needed

But at the end of the day, Benjamin got these images that are truly amazing….
